I'm still looking at the iPhone and will probably pull the trigger in September (birthday gift :) ) but I have a question for anyone who can help. I will be paying for high speed wireless (3G) and it would be great if I could use that connectivity on my laptop. Is there a way to connect the two to get the cellular data to my laptop?

It looks like NetShare has been pulled from iTunes. Is it still available somewhere and installable somehow? Remember, I don't have a clue on how to do anything with the iPhone.

It has indeed been pulled. While you can get it other ways, we do not talk about such things here.
Please excuse me. I didn't imply doing something wrong. I'm guessing that you can only install software onto the iphone via the Apps store?!?

Yep, that's what I meant; I'm sorry if I sounded like I was bashing you. Nothing against you, I assure you, just wanted to say that NetShare has indeed been pulled and that there are only two legal ways of getting apps on the iPhone: the AppStore and WebApps.
