The two platforms can't really be compared - they're meant for completely different people (basically: enterprise vs. entertainment / everyday users).

Also, much as the iPhone does have flaws, it's a REAL pleasure to use, even for a WinMo hacker like me. Beautifully written OS, excellent third-party apps and games.

YTwo entirely different worlds. You cant, for example, run any (!!) decent game on the Blackberry. It also severely lacks third-party Web browsers or a decent third-party GPS app. There is just no comparison between it and WinMo / iPhone.

(Of course, what the BB is primarily meant for, push mail, is done excellently. It's still my No.1. workhorse machine - for mails only.)

Of course. I use also BB for mailing. But the variety of apps of iphone sometimes surprises me. So many games and facilities.

Great read but the 3g alone is worth it imo.

I know I'm late to this party, but had to butt in with my $.0000002...

I have used Windows Mobile devices since 2002, and currently have an IPAQ 211. I have never been able to easily read ebooks on WM, even jumping through some hoops ( to avoid misunderstandings, I work as a technology consultant so difficulties are not due to failure to try ). I found web browsing / wifi performance slow, even buying 3rd party enhancements specifically for this. Was never happy trying to work with Office documents on the device, even for quick reference. I kept it for Pocket Informant and GPS navigation.

I borrowed an IPod Touch for a few months, and in 2 days I found an app that quickly converted nearly whatever ebook / text document I desire into an easy read, web browsing is much faster and web interface much easier. When Pocket Informant has an easier sync to ICal I'll buy that but meanwhile I'll do project management on the PC and put deadlines into ICal. When my 3 year old BT GPS receiver died, I took the plunge on a 3GS as a convergence device and personally consider it a good value.

So yes, both platforms have their problems, but I find the daily usability of the Iphone - for me - better than WM.

Dude, You saved many iphone new users just by post such a wonderful thread. I must appreciate all your seven things. But recently I got to know that maximum iphone supplied in market is coming back from China. Is it true?
