Has anyone been able to contact the to see what the problem was and if there is anyway to avoid in the future. Again, I would be willing to pay $$ for this software
I've emailed the developer to request that he modify the weblink software to make checking for application updates OPTIONAL, so we will still be able to get listings updates, even when the PTVL web site is down, which seems to happen about quarterly. It might help if other users do the same.

good job! I think we should go over to their forum and support what he said there.

How do you install the skins in Pocket Listing; after fionishing unzipping the downloaded skins, I cannot see this file extension *.ezl anywhere?
I have also just installed to the SD card following procedures to connect/disconnect ActiveSync, but when I opened the application I could not finf any data?!
Did I do something wrong or did I miss a step somewhere?
download skins from here: http://ptvl.thumbsupsoft.com/skins.htm and put them under your PTVL directory. you should be then able to change the skin on your PPC.
thanks akheron; I do get the listings in the default screen allright; followed instructions and all went fine. However, I am having problems with the skins!
I have downloaded the ZIPPED skin files from their website; when I unzip the files all I get is a couple of folders with a bunch of folders (GridView, ListViewByChannel, ListViewByTime, ListViewShowingAt) info.txt, preview.bmp, skin.txt...
nowhere here is an .EZL type file!!
I have copied this file through ActiveSync to the same folder of the application but when I try changing skins, there's nothing else under it!!!
You don't unzip the skin file. It should have a .esz extendion. Just copy the .esz file to the same directory shere you have the PTVL.exe file. It will then appear as an option in the Listings>Setup>Appearance tab, in the dropdown list. If you happen to have downloaded a skin file in the format .esz.zip, just rename the file deleting the .zip extension then copy it as above. If the skin file just has a .zip, try renaming it to have a .esz extendion in place of the .zip, but don't unzip it.
It's definitely a .ZIP folder from the Pocket Listings website; if I just rename this by right-clicking the folder and changing the extension to .EZL and then through ActiveSync I copy the folder across to the same folder in my SD card - when I start the Pocket Listing application and try to change the skin, I don't find anything except the default skin!?!
