Yesterday I installed the last version of sbp plus. Great piece of software indeed, but I have only one problem:

Now whenever I play some audio file with windows media (or use Skype software) with headphones, audio only comes out on the left channel.. This is really weird.

Have checked all audio settings (didn't find one that let's you adjust the balance), but the problem is still there.

Before installing sbp audio was OK

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Check this thread. I don't think it is unique to spb, although I do have that installed in my system.
