Pocket Mechanic! What's up? (Install issues)

Pocket Mechanic is a nice program, but it has an install issue!
No matter where you tell it to install to; BIS, SD, CF, it will install instead to the Main Memory!
It will install empty folders of "Anton Tomov" but the program still installs itself to My Device/Program Files/Anton Tomov/Pocket Mechanic. (537 KB)

Grr. Going to move it manually then!

This is one time I wished I could install Norton Commander in, and use it in landscape mode on PPC! Twin explorer-like screens to cut-n-paste lickity split!

Pocket Mechanic has to be in RAM or features like defrag will not work correctly. If you read the documentation, it tell you it has to be in RAM to function correctly.

Have you tried Total Commander. Its a pretty cool explorer, does much much more than the standard Windows Explorer, its freeware, is VGA aware, supports portrait/landscape, supports FTP, LAN, registry editor, two window mode and lots of other features.

Then why not allow installation to BIS? You can't defrag or format BIS, so it should work ok from there, in fact that's where I copied it to after experience the same failed attempt to install where I wanted.

After moving, you'll need to change the shortcut to point to the new directory, Total Commander can do that.

Does Total Commander work on PDA via Landscape? That was the point I was trying to make, be nice to have a split screen transfer ability. - Saves having to cut, up, up, over, down, down, down, paste. That so gets annoying.
Guess the alternative would be to use File Explorer, Rescoe Explorer (trial) and Switcher Bar. Still means having to use Switcher Bar to go back and forth. /annoying/

I moved Pocket Machanic to the BIS too. Works great there, and BIS is not allowed to defrag of course.
