If you're only going to be doing this once in awhile, you could export your PowerPoint file into graphics files (1 per slide) and use a freeware photo viewer to go through them in a slideshow.
You can use Xnview to advance through them. It is VERY similar to Resco Photo Viewer (even does screen captures), but the GUI isn't as polished.

Move along. There's nothing to read here.
I have the X50V. I bought in on ebay and might be able to get the wm2005 upgrade. I'm not sure yet. I want to view a math review course on it and their are hundreds of slides, possibly upwards of a thousand.

I tried this on my X5, and converted my slideshows to .png's which was an easy and quick task. Activesync them no problem and opened them up with file explorer. The problem I had was when I put "fit to screen" the text was too small because it thinks of it as an image and not as text, but when I use "actual size" the text is too big. I even tried to import the slides shows into word and then convert to a pocketWord file, but it didn't recognize the slide show. Has anyone tried to turn their Powerpoint slides into PDFs and use it that way? If I get some time tonight, I'm going to try it out.
