Synchronizing Outlook

I have read the book, but I am still very confused. In Outlook on my PC I have 2 e-mail accounts which it checks. However, on my Axim I have only 1 account "Outlook E-mail" and I am unable to push the "send and receive" button for some reason? When I add the 2 e-mail accounts I have stored in my PC's Outlook, I get 2 new accounts on the Axim for a total of 3 Messaging Accounts.

Ok, its all confusing, basically, how the hell can I synchronize these the Axim and my Outlook's PC so there is no redundancy, and they are like spitting images of each other. Is there a tutorial? It is very important for me to make sure my Outlook syncs with my handheld.

Thanks a ton, I know it's such a newbie question,
Ryan

Open Outlook on the pc
Open the inbox
click tools tab
click preferences
click email options
put a check mark in each box BUT the top one
on replies....do not include
on forwarding....include
NO CHECK IN BOTTOM BOX
---------------------------
click mail setup tab
click email accounts
check the view or change box
this brings up another page showing the email accounts that you have set up....it should not be blank
highlight your account and click change
look very closely...this is where most errors occur...look at every word, every period
all 6 boxes need to be filled in
leave secure authentification unchecked
now click on "test account settings"
did it pass? if so...problem solved
if not, cick the "errors" tab and tell me what it says

there are several other settings but lets stop here and see if it now works...if not, we'll look further
remember to let me know!

Ok.. I have the accounts properly setup in Outlook, both the e-mails accounts work fine for checking mail on the PC. The problem is that these accounts are not reflected on the Axim. I am given a generic account "Outlook E-mail" which I have no idea if it checks the same accounts as in my PC's Outlook.

Ok, the stuff above is confusing but this is what I want: I want to be able to check 2 different accounts on my Axim, and when I plug it into the craddle the e-mails on the Axim will download into Outlook 2002 and show up in the exact same directory structure as my Axim has. I don't see why this should be so hard, is this impossible? I don't understand the functionality of the "Outlook E-mail" account when you can't send or receive from it.

PLEASE help,
Thanks Ryan

Ryan,
First off..you CAN have activesync check more than one email account. It then sends the email to your axim for you to read it later....but it WILL NOT re-send that same email back to theaxim because it only sent you a copy....The original is still in outlook.I would recommend un-installing activesync and re-installing and setting up a new partnership.
Good Luck,
Let me know,
Ken
