Windows media player

I had a problem that started with my having downloaded a skins choosing program for windows media player. At that point windows media player worked just fine. Well the skin program could not find the default skin for WMP and suggested I delete WMP and reinstall it. So I deleted windows media player. Now when I go to install WMP I get the update for it but I am sure not the whole program as I cannot even start WMP now because it cannot find its default skin. Is there a way out of this#$!$ mess?

I have downloaded the custom skins. I could not find the default skin, just a picture of it. It still wants the default skin. What is the name/s of the default skin and or related files?

If you deleted media player, I think you'll have to do a hard reset to get it back. The originals are still on the ROM, but you have to reload to access it.
It sounds like you tried to update your player from the ms website. That version is older than what's on the Axim to start with, and it messes everything up.
If you hadn't deleted the player, you could have recovered ... or perhaps you still can. Search for a thread called: Recovering from a media player update.

Well I just re-installed it from the Dell cd. I did get it working by editing the registry but I also deleted the listing of it from the start menu so I then just re-installed it from the Dell cd. Thanks for the help.:)
