Is there a way to configure a reset button?

My x50v has a leather case. Sometimes when things messed up, I have to remove it from the case and "stabbed" the x50v from the back. Is there a way to confugure one of the hardware buttons to function like the reset buttion? This way I don't have to remove the x50v from the tight fitting case. Thanks.

I know that SPB Pocket Plus can add a lot more functions to your buttons, including soft-resetting, but it's not free. I don't know any free programs off the top of my head.

Reset w/ Case On

My Belkin case does have a small hole in the back where "supposedly" you can do a soft reset.

I say "supposedly" because more often than not the small holes don't line up. I like the idea of a software reset such as akheron suggests.

I thought I read somplace that this can also be done via software, that would set an icon on the today screen. Would be kind of like XP Pro's pop-up;
Cancel-Restart-Shutdown. Simple.

New to PDA's, 'bout three months, only had to reset the Axim X50 520mz one time.

Spb Pocket Plus was the first program that I bought & it was well worth the money.
I use the soft reset button that they provide & have never had a problem.

There is also a freeware program that runs in system tray hat offers a soft reset, lock, suspend, light off, and doesn't eat up resources. I use it for the extra features & light off myself.

You also may want to line-up that hole on the case, mark it, and punch/drill a hole so you can reset it from behind. {snip} case has a nice lil hole in their cases for this!

SPB's Pocket Plus has the ability to remap hardware button, buttons on hold, and has a nice set of functions for the tap+hold on the Close button! I use it to rotate my screen, has soft reset too, but I like to physically press that button!

SPB's Programs make life with the Axim so darn nice! Lots of options on their programs in every nook and cranny. I use the New Windows in PIE and have the Close Button only close the actual viiewed window rather all of PIE. I would recommend SPB Pocket Plus to everyone! :love:
