Question How do you get programs on the start menu?

I was wondering how to add programs to the start menu. In windows you can go to settings and there find a way to place programs anyplace you want them. How do I do this with the Axim?

Easy to do except you can only put 9 listings on the menu.

Click on start, then settings and then clicking on the menus icon. There you can click on the boxs you want to include and remove the check from those you want to exclude. You can also decide whether or not to activate the "New Menu" and what to include. The new menu shows up on the lower left part of your screen with the word "New". While useful, it is limited to those programs listed and not to everything on your PPC

if you must, you can put more than 9 items on your start menu by creating and putting shortcut (links) under the \windows\Start Menu.

To do so, either do this via your desktop PC, or use a third party file explorer for the Ax (Total Commander is a good choice, and it is free!)

I am more interested in the programs that do not show up in the list with little boxes.

If you follow hambalan's instruction's you should be able to do what you ask.

1) Copy the *.exe program you want in the Start Menu

2)Open the windows folder, then open the Start Menu folder

3) Tap on the File menu in the lower left corner and tap on "Create Shortcut"

You should be able to see your program in the Start Menu now.

I believe you can put as many as 10 in and have it still work as normal, if you put in 11, it will come up from the bottom instead of below the taskbar, and if you put 12 or more, skinning of the start bar will be lost, and it will be made scrollable.

When I used PPC 2002 I was able to follow these instructions successfully. Now that I have installed Windows Mobile 2003 I can't get this to work. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
