Hi folks, I just puchased a new X51v about a week ago(yes a new old is already on the way to replace the first unit...I'm having all the same problems as everyone else!) Anyways I was wondering if anyone knew of a replacement Calendar/task software that syncs with it's own desktop counterpart?
Also is there a way to get rid of the annoying popup window on my desktop that tries to get me to install and config MS outlook everytime I sync my X51v to my desktop. Using MS Outlook is not an option...I just plan refuse to be controlled totally by Microsoft.
All I want is to be able to use a calendar/task program and be able to sync it with something other then MS outlook.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yes, I feel your pain.

I moved from Palm to PPC - and the Palm Desktop and VersaMail email conduit software was by far cleaner and tidier solutions and a better portal to the PDA, IMHO.

Hate, loathe and despise Outlook (did I mention I don't like it?) and I resent be fobbed off with a bloated 3 year old program that MS can't get rid of otherwise.
While I have (begrudgingly) installed Outlook, I have so far bypassed it for email (setting up a new account on the PDA itself and using the pass-through of ActiveSync) though I too would be happy to find a standalone PIM with desktop solution.

I know the product IntelliSync allows you to sync your PDA with a number of other PIMs and that may be the only solution available until MS or a PDA manufacturer get their act together.
