Day/Night World Map

I am still waiting for my Axim to arrive. On an old PDA I had a utility that displayed a world map and showed where it was day and night is there a utility like that for the Axim?

Worldmate does this. Do a search for it at Pocketgear.com

I use CityTime. It also has a Today screen plug-in that I find useful

I would say CityTime also. There's a demo you can try, or buy it if you like it. You can find it at:

It seems that there is an introductory offer for GeoKron @$9.99. It seems very similar to CityTime. (To me they look like they are the same just that GeoKron is cheaper.) I checked the features for GeoKron at their preview site and checked CityTime's features at the link that CSharpMajor provided and I would go for GeoKron.

CityTime's Other features include:

Sunrise and sunset times
Moonrise, moonset and phase times
Airport codes and dialing codes listing for all cities
Powerful time calculator
Add and Modify your own Cities
Distance over Time calculations
Internet time synchronization

Having purchased both Geokron and CityTime, I still think that CityTime has a few advantages over Geokron. One feature that isn't often mentioned is that CityTime incorporates into Pocket Informant via a plug in in PI. This allows you to create Flight Appointments for CityTime right in PI. Great feature for all us Pocket Informant users :D

For those that have these I have a question ... Do either of these have a selection to show time for either:

Kwajalein, Marshall Islands
Majuro, Marshall Islands

I used to live on Kwaj and still have friends there ... would be nice to see the time before I call over their without haveing to try remembering the time difference ...

Worldmate allows you to enter your own city. You would just enter the GMT time difference and you're set.

I think my wife and I will take our first cruise this summer. I already have my Ax and my GPS. Are any of these world maps GPS compatible? I would certainly want to know right away if the boat were hijacked.

You might want to look at Pocket Earth. It has a much more extensive city data base. I use it to find the lat/long for cities that I want to add to CityTime.
