I have meetings on my Axim's outlook calendar set up to remind me 15 minutes before start. However, the reminder never goes off. When I plug my sync cable in hours later, my meeting reminder pops up on my axim (before the sync even starts).

Missing meetings isn't neccassarily a bad thing, but I'd still like to get the calendar working. :D

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Click on the start menu, select settings, then sounds & notifications.

Make sure the system volume is set above silent, and put checks in the Events, Programs and notifications boxes.

Now click on the Notifications tab at the bottom of the screen.
Select the reminders event
Make sure Play sound and display message on screen are selected. Play the sound to confirm it has not been inadvertently deleted.

Hope you find your problem...

George

Thanks for the quick reply! Unfortunately, I checked all that and it looks to be set up right. The weird part is that the overdue reminders go off when I plug in my sync cable. Strange!

Do your reminders work in Outlook on your desktop?

Do the reminders pop up on the desktop computer before plugging the sync cable in?

My Outlook sometimes turns the reminders off and I have to go into the settings to turn them back on.
I think this is a problem with our Exchange server, but it is an intermittent problem so I have to wait until they can figure out what settings are messing us up...

In the interim I just watch for the reminders and turn the setting back on when they stop working. I'll have to watch my Axim to see if the reminders are turned off when the desktop reminders are...

If your desktop reminders are working it must be a different problem...

Good luck,

George

How did you configure this? Mine only has the remind every 15 min option.

1. Close Outlook
2. Start->Run->"outlook.exe /cleanreminders"
3. Open Outlook
4. Wait 5 minutes
5. Close Outlook
6. Start->Run->"outlook.exe /cleanfreebusy"
7. Open Outlook
8. Wait 5 minutes
9. Close Outlook
10. Open Outlook

Result: Reminders should be working.

i think it has something to do with the notifications queue if i am not mistaken, too many invalid entries or something along those lines, cleaning it up a little ought to help.
