I also use my axim for podcasting, but I use pocketRSS to handle everything and it works great... very nice to be able to download the podcast straight to the device Im going to be listening to it on...

for recomended channels, be sure to check out This Week in Tech (TWiT) if you consider yourself at all nerdy... this is a podcast of "The Screensavers" who have gotten back together to make a podcast (which is usually #1 or close to it on iTunes). I also try to listen to Security Now ocasionally. Just listen around and you can find something for everyone...

I wonder if there are any PPC based podcasts... that would be interesting to listen to

I'm not sure why no one else responded. But here are a few podcasts regarding Pocket PCs and Gadgets (some also are text feeds as well).

Pocket PC Thoughts (Audio only)
www.pocketpcthoughts.com/xml/thoughtcast.xml

Tiny Screenfuls (Mixed Text/Audio)

Dave's iPAQ (Mixed Text/Audio)

Engadget (Mixed Text/Audio)
http://www.engadget.com/rss.xml

And if you have a chance, I'd love for you to try FeederReader and let me know if you like it. FeederReader handles mixed feeds very well. You can read the news or blog and tap an icon to hear the next podcast. And it has integrated file management: One tap to delete podcasts and listen to the next one. You don't have to remember which ones you've listened to and you don't have to go outside the program to delete them. I release a new version every 2-6 weeks. Give it a try!

Any Leo LaPorte podcast (TWiT, Security Now, The Tech Guy) are wonderful to listen to, both because Leo is very knowledgable in the tech world and because he's got one of the world's greatest radio voices.

I find using pRSSreader (freeware) handles all newsfeeds extremely well, including downloading the mp3's directly to the device, I then use pBod (which is mapped to the "Record" button on my Axim) to play the mp3 - it's easy to handle the files and they update as soon as I put my PocketPC in the cradle... No need to synch anything....
