Here's a 6-minute video showing you how to use FeederReader to download podcasts directly to your x3i

If you have any questions, I'm always on the FeederReader Forums helping people (www.FeederReader.com sidebar "Forums")

Hi Greg,
I need some more help. I watched the video. I went to the FeedReader site and downloaded the file and the .net software from MS. I installed the .net app first, then the feedreader by clicking the .exe file but it appears as if I downloaded the PC version, not the ppc version. Then I logged into the Feedreader forum but couldn't find the beta software thread to download the ppc version. Now I can't log into the Feedreader forum from my iMac to post this message.
So what is the url for the Feedreader ppc version? As I understand it I have to log into the forum before I have access to the ppc app. Is this correct? Also will the photo sd cards make a difference compared to Scan Disk sd card version?
FYI the PC version seems to work. But I'm trying to download podcasts onto my ppc.
Running x3i, WM03, with a 512MB sd card. TIA

Make sure you are using the program (and website) called FeederReader ( www.FeederReader.com ). FeedReader is a desktop program, FeederReader is a Pocket PC program.

The installation video is here:
http://www.FeederReader.com/ScreenCasts/Cast01_040.wmv

You must sign up for the FeederReader forums to see the Software Download link.

Also, make sure you are installing the .NET *Compact* Framework to your Pocket PC.

Regarding Photo SD cards versus "Scan Disk" (I assume you mean "San Disk"): the performance metric that makes the biggest difference is the file create time (the time it takes the Pocket PC to create a new file on the Secure Digital card). This performance metric is not usually given at all, but many people have had good luck with the San Disk Ultra II model of Secure Digital Cards. I have personally tested only a couple of different brands. There are some that are EXTREMELY SLOW. This would be a great question for the FeederReader forums!
