Reverse VGA Hack?

What I'm wondering whether it is possible (or maybe there might be an alternative method). Currently I use SE_VGA to "hack" my x50v to true VGA, now its all good until I got to run a program that doesn't like VGA, the main culprits being games. So I'd like to be able to do a QVGA hack on those programs.

Is this possible or is there any other methods I could use so I don't have to restart every time I want to use VGA mode.

I know there is the VGA hacks for indiviudal programs, but can it work on the "desktop"?

I use WisBar Advanced Desktop, which essentially lets you build your entire UI from the ground up.

I used to use ozVGA myself, but was annoyed that most games broke as a result (just like you). WAD and forcing VGA on an app by app basis (as needed) has solved all my problems.

I would kill for something like that, I posted about this on another thread but didn't get any leads. I love my today screen in VGA and Pocket IE is actually usefull, but many other apps don't work right and need to switch back to "normal" mode with a soft reset everytime if I want to use them. Wish somebody would come up with something.

EasyD, give WisBar Advanced Desktop a try (www.lakeridgesoftware.com). You get to enjoy all the VGA goodness but not have to reset to play games.

It'll require some work on your part to get it set up initially, but once done, you'll have your PPC looking and working exactly the way you want.
