I took at look at "pocket Theme Manager." It looks pretty good, but costs $12. I'm sure there is something out there that's free and works just as well. Any ideas?

Actually, Microsoft Theme Generator works great and it's free!

over at pocketfacelift.com in their forums in the full screen themes section there is afree full screen theme grnerator that gives you more customizable options then the ms generator.

Isn't that specifically for use with Pocket Facelift?

The Pocket Facelift Themes are basically "themes+extensions" (for lack of a better phrase). Any theme you create with it can be used by people NOT running Facelift. They would get the "theme" parts (that stuff which is standard PPC Today screen) but wouldn't get the extra features supported by Facelift, such as menubar skinning, titlebar skinning, etc.

So you COULD use the Facelift Theme generator to create standard Today themes, but I wouldn't recommend it. MS' Theme generator is a bit nicer.
