yes. Password programs must be installed to main memory. But Nice start only takes 200kb and its fully skinable. Try the demo.

Or you can give my program a try. Called "Pocket Secure", and it is totally skinable. Low memory usage also!

Check out the Thread Here, or visit the Pocket Secure Website and download a free trial. If you like it, send me a PM with your email address, and I'll send you a "Discount Coupon" :approve:

I used to use PDA Defense on my Palm. It was acquired and rebranded SureWave. I believe that there is a PPC version as well.

BTW, I currently only use the WM 2003.2 supplied 4 digit password and I have it set to lock immediately upon power-off. I use SplashID for data that is to be secured further.

No, not as of now. At present, you can display Battery, Date, Time, & Memory. But Appointments, Tasks & Mail (# of items) is a consideration for future updates! :)

Sounds good to me :) I would give you $2 extra if you put my upcoming events on the lock screen as I hate having to enter my password (the strong alpha-numeric on the built in utility) every time I turn it on.

Also sending you PM now... I could use the 50% off coupon :approve:

I wish it were that quick & easy to do! But I now have it on my list for a possible future update...

And, of course, updates are still Free to registered customers! :approve:

Dude, I have a question.

With the Microsoft's provided and free password utility, the PDA can't even connect if I don't provide the password on the PC. Which I think is an excellant idea :) - basically it provides me with extra security in case someone gets hands onto my Axim and then tries to get info / sybc info with a PC.

Does your s/w provide that security ? I didn't find any option.

Thanks for your great support - you have been very prompt with your replies here as well as emails :)

The current release does not have the PC lockout feature. In an attempt to isolate Pocket Secure from the internal PW functions, and keep it operating totally independent, I did not add this feature as of present. The independent setup of Pocket Secure caused some 'fighting' with AS!
I've been working on this, and will be adding this feature in the next release along with a few more enhancements...
:)

As for support, I believe that is 75% of a successful application, and I stand behind my work 100%! :approve:

Well, the built-in password you have now is free. But it sure can't do what Pocket Secure can!
Also, Pocket Secure includes 14 Custom Backgrounds (Free) + 3 Custom Skins & 2 more available on my website (Free) + Custom Plugins for a Voice feature and Auto-Shutdown (released this weekend... Also Free!) + Free Future Updates to Registered Users!!!

And..... I have a few more 50% Off Coupons to give away. That would give you Pocket PC Security and all of the above for just $5 :exc:

Almost as good as FREE !!!! :approve:

(Anyone interested in the 50% off coupons, send me an email) :)
