Outlook keeps asking for network password

I have tried Dell and Microsoft and I am unable to resolve this issue on the PC. I don't know where to turn but to you all!

Here's the deal....

Outlook, when connecting to the server to grab e-mails is prompting me for a network password. I enter that and check the box for remember the password and e-mails will flow thru, no problem. A few minutes later the dialog box pops up again with the same thing. Asking for password again, over and over.

I have two users on this machine and one user has that problem and the other doesn't.

I have tried an MS office repair and I get an error message on the repair saying it cannot complete the process. No explanation.

I have tried a system restore all the way back to the first date available, system restore incomplete.

dell wants to charge me because only hardware is supported. MSFT wants to chage me because I have already talked to dell.

If I had sprite backup for the PC I would dump it all and try that. I'm totally lost and need your help!!!

I'm positive all the settings in outlook are correct, as I stated one user ID is fine, the other has issues.

I also cleared the cookies.

Please give me some advice as this thing is driving me nuts!

Thank you!

Hey Dear,

I was just able to solve this problem in my outlook 2007

Here's the article that explains it all:

Save password setting not retained in Outlook or Outlook Express

I followed the step where we find the .pst file location of problematic email address (which is being prompted the password for), create a new profile (recreate the email account that is giving you the problem) and point the new profile's .pst storage to the old damaged file.

I then deleted the old account. It's now working great! Yoohooooo!

Read it and I am sure you'll get it done asap!
