i kno this thread is kinda old but i recently found a few good libraries for mdict @ http://soft.tompda.com/SoftView/SoftView_7467.html which has alot of vocabuary and sometimes a few examples and if that isn't enough words http://soft.tompda.com/SoftView/SoftView_9124.html has even more worlds
for those for are still learning chinese that want a dictionary that have pinyin, i found that pkdict at mobem.com is good although there are some errors and a limited word list. hope this helps
