Backing up contacts

I don't use outlook, but want to type my actual phonebook into my Axim without having to install outlook. Is there any standalone programs where I can do this? I don't want to have to type them all into my Axim one by one. A computer keyboard is much easier. :rolling:

Your subject says Backing up contacts, but your message only mentions entering them.
Are you trying to back them up, enter them, or both?

Outlook will do both.
The backup utility that comes on the device will back up the contacts.
I am not sure what program besides Outlook and ActiveSync you could use to enter them.

Both, but I specifically don't want to install Outlook

Unless I'm mistaken, Outlook is preinstalled on your Axim. Are you just looking for an alternative App?

Right, it is installed, but in order for my to edit the contacts on my computer as opposed to my axim, then I have to have outlook installed on my computer. That is what I am trying to avoid.

You could use M$ ActiveSync Remote Display to enter the contacts from the desktop while the ppc is connected via ActiveSync. This will alllow you to use your keyboard for the data entry.
