battery pack pro just too buggy!!!!

hi all, just got my x51v since 2 days, really happy with it, upgraded with rom a04, installed few popular softwares and games, all turn up fine, i tried installing battery pack pro, it should be a must have app, it is so good, however, it keep crashing my pda, did so many soft resets, but still no good, so i uninstalled it. since i bought it and installed it on the first day, i tried again installing it today, but too bad, it just don't work out fine. it is far too buggy, hope an update version will resolve the problem and hope the upgrade is free for me

I bought Battery Pack Pro when I first got my Axim. I found the software to be way to bloated as it hogged to much memory. I bought it for it's launcher properties and meters, but have found way better software out there for my needs and money.(ie. ilauncher)

I agree,

I even tried the latest version , but ended up using pocket plus caus I dont need world time and other junk. Just want a battery meter and a tabbed launcher.

I knew after trying the lite version from my Dell disc to leave the pro version alone.

the software developers should be responsible before they start to sell the software and claimed compatible with wm5.0. we paid for something that is not working properly for sure!

I was a long time advocate of Battery Pack Pro until I purchased the 2.0 upgrade. Now, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I ended up restoring my Sprite Backup so I could go back to 1.1.1, and I've been happy ever since.

Battery Pack

I agree, battery Pack that came w/disc cause all kinds of other problem w/your Axim x51V.
Why does Dell package buggy software w/ product? I suppose it just compliments all the bugs in WM5.

yes, i was forced to buy and install iLauncher, it is quite good, as far as it is very stable. frankly, if battery pack pro wasn't the buggy, it is goin to be second to none........hope the new version and rom update of wm5.0 will solve everything

Consistency perhaps? THey released a buggy ROM to run on the hardware, so it's only natural to put buggy software on buggy OS. Windows users are used to it anyway

In all seriousness though, I downloaded the latest version of BP from the website a month ago...I just plain didn't like it. I went to iLauncher from there, loved it until I found Pocket Plus. Been using that ever since.

I haven't found Battery Pack Pro 2.0 buggy at all under WM5. Although I have been looking for something that isn't so bloated. iLauncher looks like exactly what I want.

Actually now that I've removed it, I think I may have been having problems with it that I was attributing to other apps or a buggy OS.

BP 2.0 works great WM2003. I will agree that iLaunch taks much less memeory. I switch between both, off and on.
