Arrow Problems Calendar Who also ???

Last month i bougth the Axim as replacemnet for my dead Psion S5mx.
If i make a more than one day "BUSY" appointment and one or more day fell in the next month most of the time the appointment isn't visible in any of the overviews, Like the squares i n the monthly view or in the one-day-view the appointment isn't there!

I did my complaint at Dell ( Dell Community forum) and they advise to hard-reset, update rom and use "Busy" and all that don't help. The Dell support Site don't even react on my request what's going on with my machine.

Does anybody recognise this problem?? please react so i can refer to you when i call Dell.

Or maybe someone knows the solution???

thanks
Wim

This isn't Dell's problem. It's Microsoft's calendar application. That's why so many calendar enhancements are so popular -- Calendar +, Pocket Informant, Developer One's Agenda Fusion. They all have free trials. Why not check them out? Of course, every program has it's limitations. In the final analysis, we have to find a way to use the program that meets our needs. Just my opinion, humbly offered.

your right.
But Dell delivers an OEM version and therefor they should give us the information and support. If this problem is a general problem they maybe can confirm that. And help us to get a better version of the Calendar.
Or is this just a problem with my PDA? Maybe my CPU has an problem ??

One of the things i now want to find out is that:
Am i the only one who's got this problem or does anybody else have this problem??

Well I just tried and it works for me ... I set up an all day event (Going Fishing) for 31 May - 1 June ... I have a empty square in the corner for each day on the calendar on my Axim ...

Are you sure you have your event set up corrctly? Start time: first day .. End Time: Second Day ... All Day: Event Box is checked .. Show time as: Busy

As for a better version of the Calendar the only way to get that would be to upgrade to Outlook 2002 ... As far as I know I haven't seen any PDA ship with that version ... Microsoft might not have that as an option for liscensing with PocketPC products ... You could always go out and but Office ...

As for getting support I agree with commoved ... Its a Microsoft product and you should get help from them ... Dell has no control over the features and functions built into Outlook 2000 ...

I'm sure Dell would help you if the program would not install or run ... But they have no control over features designed in the program ... Product updates and upgrades have to come from Microsoft as they are the ones who have control the source code .. Have you read the EULA ... You'd be very supprised to learn how little you can do with the program without their expressed consent ...

yes, it looks strange my problem. Last Friday i Hard reset he PDA again and gave in my vacantion 21st of June until 6th of July everthing looks well.

today i gave in a whole week mo 26 May until 1st June for another appointment and this looks well also. But when i no look to my first made appointment i only see those days in June been marked and not those in July.

On other thing i have is that also in the day view when browse to the next week (in the new month) everthing looks right , then skip back 1 or two days and i see no appointment ???!!!

I had received a very short notice from Dell that they don't support this problem.
And MS ask a lot of money when you want support, so i gave it up.
Maybe i buy an other calender program , but for the coming time i 've to give in any, appointment for a longer term, each day separatly.

thanks for the replies.

I have noticed something similar on my work computer. I am running XP at home and Win 98 SE at work. Outlook at home shows all my appointments, but my work computer doesn't show the appointments. It does have a bold date on the calendar showing that there is an appointment, but it does not show up.

Any ideas?

Mike

Lost triangles and squares in month view

All of the triangles and squares in the month view of my calendar have disappeared. I did a soft reset and it brought them back. Any ideas what could have made them disappeared in the first place?
