Journal bar question

I just downloaded the Journal bar demo. I clicked the icon in the top left corner of the bar to get the updates, I'm using WiFi. The updates came down fine, the icon stopped blinking, but the activity light on my CF card keeps blinking. I left it alone for a couple of hours and it's still blinking like crazy. I captured the packets coming from the Ax and it does look like it's Journal bar still making requests. Anyone else seeing this? Did I miss a setting somewhere maybe?

The new verision of Journal Bar 1.3 has a small green check mark (below Help question mark), which you can push to turn off JB attempts to get updates. Otherwise, with Wi-FI journal bar can be a battery drain.

Yea I saw that and turned it off but it's still going like crazy. I really just like the 5 day forecast on the today screen like it is. Do you know of any other programs that just offer the weather like that. I saw one but it doesn't seem to display all five days like Journal bar does.

I know that ADB Weather displays weather on Today screen, it is available at

with free trial and $5 for a program.

The instructions say that "

Since it download several days in advance, you do not need to be connected at all times, but only to update the data."

By default, the stock section in journal bar is set to update every ten minutes, maybe this is what is causing all the activity. I've been using Journal Bar for about a week now and I can verify that the weather only updates what you have it set for (default is three hours). There is also a setting to check for updates on the general tab that could be causing additional activity.
