Mobsync Problem

I installed mobsync and when I try to run it I get the error, "There is a trace by which injustice was performed to the registry key involved in attestation. This application must be ended." Then there's an ok key.

Anyone have this problem? Guess I'll have to try mightysync.

I use MobSync and I have no issues. I've never seen that message before.

I had that message. Finally got it to install and register, forget how, think it might be turning off virus protection (MaAfee and Microsoft)
Now I get an Error message "RapiFunc:failed to linitialize". It opens but I have been afraid to use it. Any ideas?

Now I'm trying MightySync. It's only $6. I'll see how it is. So far it syncs 2 of my 3 files perfectly. I can't figure out why it won't sync the 3rd file.

Lawman, can you sync whole folders or just individual files w/mobsync? I seem to have mightysync finally syncing a whole folder w/4 files in it so far. But their instructions are kinda mediocre, or maybe I'm just dense. Are there any other sync type programs out there besides mightysync and mobsync?

I use MobSync to sync podcasts. I'll have to check my MobSync setup.
I use iPodder to d/l the podcasts I want into a "folder#1" and use MobSync to sync all the files from "folder#1" into a "My Podcasts" folder in /My Documents.

So, I believe its just individual files from a folder. But I believe you can set multiple different "jobs" so MobSync can sync between other folders as well. I don't think you can sync the folder itself.

Well, I can't even get mightysync to work now. So I'm unhappy. Check that - Now I'm syncing individual files and it seems to work. Whatever! I'll keep trying. I'm willing to spend more money on a program that works well and is easy to use. This program is too touchy.

I have used both programs a lot. What is nice about MightySync is that it continually syncs so that as soon as you update a file the syncronization takes place. Mobsync with sync every few minutes as you set it. Mobsync is easier to set up and use I think but you get error messages. MightySync and MobSync will syncronize individual files and folders. MightySync freaks out if your folder is empty.

Cravaus, can you write me or pm me some easy Folder Sync instructions? The ones that come w/mightysync are horrible. Thanks!

I've used Mobsync extensively. It's great. Only problem is that it doesn't appear to work with Windows Mobile 5. Pre-5, it's amazingly simple and flawless.

That only happens to me if I try to open Mobsync without my PPC connected via activesync.

That is correct. I stand corrected. It does seem to work flawlessly under WM5. But unlike previous versions the OS, you HAVE to be connected or the program won't even open. Not a big deal at all, though, so long as you know what you're dealing with.

MobSync is absolutely flawless.

I have ppc2003 and MobSync disconnected Active Sync about 30-40 seconds after it starts. I stay connected until I run it. I stay connected without running it all night.
I tried 0.9.4 and shareware version 1.07 or something like that.

I'm going to look for MightySync, and see what that does.
