Help! Axim Lockup!

I am having a continual problem with the activesync on my axim locking up after disconnecting with the computer

90% of the time I have to get to the running programs list within the memory and stop activesync and it tells me that the program has stopped responding.

Until I kill A/S I can't get small menu to work. about 10% of the time I have to do a soft reset:rolling:

Activesync responds fine while connected to the PC and only freezes after disconnection.

:exc: EXTREEMLY FRUSTRATING:exc:

Am using 3.7 syncing w/ 2 pc's (home & work) have smallmenu (does same with facelift and icbar), BatteryPack, FranklinCovey PlanPlus, and Journal Bar (trial).

No similar issues on the PC side of any note.

even when i am done a sync, activesync is still running on the ax. i just pull the ax off the cradle when done. then i use switcher bar to kill A/S. it never locks up though. hmmm.....
i would not disconnect using the pc though.....pocket sync is really dumb. eitherkill active sync before removing from cradle, after. using the disconnect feature doesn't exit A/S anyway.

good luck

I am just disconnecting either by pulling it from the cradle or disconnecting the cable. A/S on the Ax does not recognize that the connection has been broken.

I can tell the system to disconnect after I have removed it and it goes through the paces and then locks until I kill the processes. A couple of times after killing AS, it has started up again on it's own.

I'm starting to suspect a faulty signal within the Ax either hard or soft wired.

I'm afraid that the next step may be the dreaded "hard reset"
