pocketweather or weatherpanel??

I currently have pocketweather installed on my X51v with WM5. I like it alright, but wanted to know what everyones opinion was of these two apps. Ive noticed that many skin suites include a weatherpanel skin, but not many have skins for pocketweather.
Is one better than the other?? Or is one just more popular if both are equally good.

Thanks.

I personally like Weather Panel because it's nearly infinitely customizable and it supports animated weather images.

I'm not sure if Weather Panel is still being updated. I think, after reading the WP forums, the owner has disappeared. A pity, because it was a great programme.

I'm a fan of pocket weather myself. Course, I'm partial since I got it free for winning a contest. Can't beat free!

I like PW but I think, last time I tried it, it didn't have precipitation (% chance of rain) which I find very useful. And I would have liked animated icons too.

I'm using Fizz Weather now. It doesn't look as good as PW/WP, and it's more of a standalone app, but I like it. It gives the forecast for morning, afternoon, evening, and night and it's quite detailed. Easy to set up as well

I'm using Weather Panel, and although there hasn't been an update for quite a while, I find it to be a roack solid program that allows alot of customization and data.

I looked at both programs before purchasing Pocket Weather. Currently, Weather Panel is the better product. But the developer has been missing for over half a year, and if the developer's web domain is not renewed this year, there is a great chance that the program will no longer work. Pocket Weather is constantly being improved and may one day be even better than Weather Panel. And the customer support is the best in the business.

I use Weatherpanel , although it is not being updated and nobody has heard from the author for months. If his site - marsware.net goes down then weatherpanel will no longer update.
As a Backup I have sbsh pocketweather installed also but its got the odd display issue and needs resets now and then to display right.

Weatherpanel (9/10)
Pocketweather (7/10)
