Encryption Software recommendations for x51v

I'm wondering what people use or recommend for encryption software on the PocketPC. I switched from the ipaq platform, where I used a version of FileCrypto by Pointsec which created simple encrypted volumes, and I LOVED it. But it doesn't work under WM5.

I tried a trial of Cryptainer which gets GREAT reviews, and works similarly to Pointsec's, but also does not seem to work properly under WM5.

Sentry 2020 gets good reviews and seems to be a similar product, AND is compatible with WM5, but it's $50.

Crypto Storage is only $20, but does not say if it works with WM5.

Any suggestions?

I don't know if this is exactly what you need but Resco Explorer comes with an Encrypt/Decrypt function that works just great with WM5.

You know, I actually have Resco Explorer, and I absolutely love it. And its encryption works well. The only thing is that I'm looking for something that creates encrypted volumes, as it's so much faster. With a volume you just enter the password and all files in that volume are immediately available.

With Resco, you can do a folder, but you have to wait as it then slowly decrypts every file in that folder. Then you have to enter the password two times and wait again for it to encrypt those files again when you're done.

It works flawlessly. But I'm wanting something that produces volumes or containers.

I know you mentioned Sentry 2020 (but seemed to baulk at the price.......)

This is also my problem with Resco. Tesgin, have you found a program that will do what you were looking for?

Pocket secure http://www.totalpocketpc.com/PS_4.0_...e/default.html allows a person to automatically encrypt files when their PC is locked/unlocked or it has a separate password that can be used.

Check out FreeOTFE. Open-source and freeware. Works like CryptoStorage but since it's open-source, you have the security of knowing that there's not likely any backdoor, etc. And free. Oh, and it works great on my x51v A12.
