Putting Program icons on Today screen

Anybody got any idea on how to put a program icon onto the today page so that you can start it by tapping the icon. I want to put the Dell GPS Navigation system on to the today screen so that I can start it without going to the start menu. Anyones help would be appreciated.

I don't think you can do it without a program designed to do it for you. I use a program called iLauncher by SBSH.net. It is a today plugin. There are also other programs out that will work. Go to sbsh.net and check out iLauncher.

Welcome to Aximsite, arejaywill!

Be sure to look at freeware as well. I use tdlaunch (VGA version) and it works just fine, but you will have to check if it's WM5 compatible.

I know you can use Wisbar Advance Desktop, but you need Wisbar Advance as well. This is not free. Their currently doing beta testing for a version for Wisbar Advance for WM5. You can find it in the forums at www.lakeridgesoftware.com.

cLaunch is nice freeware if you don't mind the pixel doubling.

Just in case you only need to launch 1 application (GPS). You could just program 1 hardware button. So no need to pull out your stylus...Just hit that button!! (Start-Settings-Personal-Buttons).

But if you want something fancy like the attached screenie, iLauncher is my choice. iLauncher can have shortcuts for
1-Application
2-Folder
3-Playlist
4-File
5-Control Panel applet
6-CPU, Storage card, Battery meters
And all of that in gorgeous TGA icons with transparency...

We all stole them from here: http://www.sbsh.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=5538

I don't do a lot of tweaking and such, but these icons make just about any today screen sing!

Wow I definately need to spend more than 24 hours a day reading this forum. Awesome today set-up. Maybe I should start spending money on stuff so it looks (and works) that good. :approve:
