There is some problems with the install from the auto update everyone. Refer the forum on their website for some better instructions. I am still working with it.
edit: My Auto Update did not work but it did work after I re-installed the software from the account section of the website did.

I was able to download the full install (it's bigger than the trial install, so be sure to get it with your registration records.)
I will be very happy if "update weather without maps" is fixed, I have more than a dozen maps and some places it takes forever to update because it always downloads new maps.
This is GREAT news. It's my favorite weather program and I hoped it would continue to be supported.

Nice. Anyone have the link to the new download?
<edit> Does it auto update? </edit>

http://www.marsware.net/WeatherPanel/download.htm
Ignore the version shown, if you are a registered user the link will take you to 2.5.0
I had no problem installing 2.5.0 right over top of 2.4.22 beta, kept my cities and radars just fine.
It did not auto update for me. About->Diagnostics will tell you the exact version you have on your device.
"Update - no radar" still grabs the radars, but the program now downloads 3 cities and radars at a time to speed up downloads- very nice feature.

Who knows, there was no announcemnent for the release, it was discovered by someone by accident that it had been updated. The two things we know for sure are that the moon data has been updated and there is a GPS port in the settings though what it is for no one knows.

As Ken said, the moon data, which had stopped working with the old version, now works again. By examining the program it seems that the moon data is now there until 12/31/2006. It's anybody's guess where this update came from, some folks are wondering if it is an automatic update that was built into the system but no one knows for sure.

If you watch your /data folder through ActiveSync before and after the update, keep hitting F5 to see what's happening, you will notice the download engine is improved--like I said it downloads several files in parallel and queues them in a new format.

Yes, my moon % was reported as -9473029854 before the update, now it's more back to real numbers again!

I rushed and did the update as soon as I saw the announcement come on my ppc this morning and forgot to check where I originally kept the program. I saved the new version to the main part of the ppc. and I see now I had it originally stored on my SD card. Perhaps that's why a have a few problems? :
I have no radar screens anymore, no ability to set the icons to autorotate, I have to look at my today screen for the background, when I go into the detail screens making it hard to read (this part used to have a blue background). Anyone else having problems like these? Also, any recommendations on where Weatherpanel should be stored on the PPC? I think because it's a today screen item I should keep it on the main storage, but yet it worked fine previously from my SD card. Thanks!

Weatherpanel works fine from both BIS (on my X50v) and with a CF card (on my h2215).
When you install WP, the today plug in goes to /windows no matter where you install the main program.
Sound like you need to clear everything out and reinstall.

Ok, I'm in much better shape now. I deleted and redownloaded. I always wondered what would happen if I accidentally put the update for a program in another location.
Ilove Weatherpanel, but my only wish is that when they have a Weather Alert (!), I wish they'd tell you what the alert is. Right now I have an alert showing and weather's actually fine around where I live at the moment. Is there some way to get to see what the alert is in this program that I just can't find?

Has anyone had this happen?? I downloaded the Full Version for registered users, came up version 2.5.1. Did a soft reset and the blue dell screen came up, but it went no further, just stuck there.
Did a hard reset and loaded my backup, reloaded 2.5.1 Weatherpanel, the same thing happened.
Dropped back to 2.4.22 and everything is running fine.
Anyone else have this problem???
I miss the moon functions and that was the only reason I updated to 2.5.1, 2.4.22 works good except for the moon functions...
Thanks, Hope someone can help.
Jim
