Question Confusing FlexWallet purcahse options???

What is the difference between -

1) FlexWallet 2006 Pocket PC and SmartPhone (selling for $19.95)
and
2) FlexWallet 2006 Desktop (selling for $14.95)

My goal is to have my credit card and other personal stuff stored securely on my x51v as well as my Desktop. I need them on both PDA and Desktop so that I can have access to it all the time, synchronize and doing updates through desktop is easier.

Now, Do I need to buy both these softwares? Or do I just need "FlexWallet 2006 Pocket PC & SmartPhone" version, Does this version come with a Desktop version too? The description of the product is very confusing and leads me to believe there will be a desktop software piece included in the "Pocket PC edition"

Anyone who already has these software, please help clarify.

Thanks,

The description pages on their site answer all your questions nicely.

As the names imply, The Desktop is Desktop only. The PPC and SP is PPC and SP only. The bundle of all three, is all three.

More Questions

This is what confused me - http://webis.net/products_info.php?p...ab_id=pocketpc

If you read the first para -
FlexWallet enables you to securely store and carry any type of information on your Windows Mobile™ Pocket PC device. Bank accounts, credit card information, emergency contact numbers, travel documents, software registration codes, online passwords, calling cards, gift ideas, clothing sizes, ATM Pins, you name it! FlexWallet has a full-featured desktop version, industrial strength 128-bit encryption for maximum data security, the ability to create your own templates, over 110 colorful icons to visually identify your information, and much more.

All this was under the PocketPC section, which made me think that Desktop was also included with the PocketPC version.

Now I have another decision to make?
Do you guys feel it is better to get both? How useful is the desktop version. What are your experiences with usage of PocketPC version and Desktop?

If I get just the PocketPC version, do I have to enter all data only through PocketPC?

I have the PPC and Desktop and use both all the time. It's great to have all the info on your desktop and ready when you need it. If your online shopping or filling out forms, you can just pull info that you need from the program. Just me 2 cents.

I have both as well, but rarely use the Desktop version - mostly the PPC since I usually always have my PPC with me (at my desk and away from it).

Good luck in your decision! Flexwallet has been a great product for me over the years!

If you have only the PPC version, does that mean all the data has to be input on the PPC device only? Is there any desktop piece for it where you can enter the data (I am guessing NO).

You guess correctly. If you have the desktop only version, you will not have the PPC component, and if you only have the PPC version, you won't have the desktop component.

If you would like both, buy the bundle... it (for me anyway) is worth it. There's a million reasons why, but copy & paste into webforms and things of that nature is very handy!

Plus, if you own any of their other products (Pocket Informant or WebIS mail, then you can get both the desktop and the PPC version for only $7.95...Cool, eh? Netsyd filled me in on that deal.
