OK, think I fixed it!

I noticed that my notifications from calendar were no longer working either, so I went through the notification list using memmaid and deleted everything to do with calendar and tasks and any other 'odd' looking items.

Then I deleted the pairing of the Axim in active sync and repaired, this had the effect of rebuilding the notification listing in the Axim when it was re-paired (as this then deletes the existing calendar, tasks and emails from the Axim and reinstates from the PC Outlook).

After this, my notifications started working again and Memmaid is able to scan the notifications as before :approve:

Hope this helps. If it happens again I'll report back.

So while you were deleting the notifications, did you notice any unusual entries?

Ther were a number of entries that were blank in the queus and just 2 lines of charaters in the 'argument' field below (eg normally you see CALENDAR.EXE) , looked similar to a registry entry?

However, even after deleting these there were still problems. In the end I cleared almost everything out apart from items I knew what they were, for example \windows\spbbackuprunner.exe. After this, to get notifications back I had to do a re-pairing to recreate the notifications from the desktop system.

I got the idea from this thread; http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showt...t=notification and found that a comlpete re-sync after removing everything (apart from the system notifications fixed it.

One other thought on your question of unusual entires, the blank ones were mostly at the top of the list, the first ones memmaid would have scanned? Maybe that is what caused the crash out in quick clean mode?
