Outlook to Pocket Informant or other?
Well, I've been using my Ax 51v for about 3 months now. I love it despite the WM5 issues that continue to occur. Probably the most frustrating is seeing how Microsoft can make good programs but then cheaps out on so much. Example: Use MS Money? Good product. Use MS Pocket Money? Really lacking in functionality and syncing. You get the point. Or look at Activesync... they skip stuff that is really important to many. For what? Time? A few hours that would be well spent in keeping their clients / customers happy rather than having us look for another program to fix the problem. Just take the time to make the stuff work right and people will be happy. :soap:

Well, enough of the rant. I use Outlook 2002 and I am finding that much of my information is not synced to my Ax. I know that Chapura has something that will sync more(probably all) of the info but it is not for WM5 yet AND it is $50.
Does Pocket Informant or another program fill in the cracks that Microsoft so blatently left in their programming? I am open to suggestions and I don't mind paying some but the $50 seems a little overboard. It also sounds like PI does a good job in other aspects of the Outlook info as well but I would really appreciate some guidance. Thanks.

Pocket Informant uses the same database that the built-in calendar program uses so if the built-in calendar doesn't show it, neither will Pocket Informant.
I have found that ActiveSync also seems to miss or skip things that have been done on my Axim. I even checked and rechecked all of my settings to make sure that I hadn't set them up wrong. Luckily, I haven't found that I am missing anything on my Axim. For me, it has been Outlook not updating with completions and date changes for the most part.

On one contact, for example, I have the home address, home phone, mobile phone, other, business phone, and email address.
When I look at my x51v (WM5) it had the mobile, work, home, SMS (whatever that is)[apparently the same as mobile], email, and home address. I am missing the business phone and other. To make matters worse, everything comes up with mobile phone in the contact list if one is avail. What if I don't want to see mobile phones? How about home phones first, or heaven forbid that I would like to switch them up for each person.
Not to get onto the rant again but I am really disappointed with Micro$oft.

Fireman, did this happen when you tranferred the info into Outlook from another program? Or is it correct in Outlook but transfers incorrectly into the Axim?

Stevenator65,
My Outlook 2002 file on my PC is good. It is just very limited on what it sends to my Axim. I've also looked in ActiveSync 4.0.0 for changes that I can make but the "Settings" in Contacts is greyed out.
Any other ideas?
