Question Uploading pictures from camera?

:crooked: Can you upload pictures directly from a stand alone camera into the Axim? What's needed; software, cable?

To be honest it's unlikely you'll be able to do what you said (If anyone knows differently please correct me, as I'd like to be able to do this).

That said, if your camera stores the images on a removable CF or SD memory card (Ours has CF) just pop it out of the camera, in to your Axim, and use File explorer to copy to your file system.

Hope this helps

My camera is a fuji and uses smart media - but I bought a cf adapter, so I can take the smart media out of the camera & stick it in the cf adapter - works just fine!

Yep...I have a Casio Exilim with SD/MMC and the cards from the camera go right into the Axim. I can even view them with Palbum Suite before I transfer them.

Yeah, there's no need to copy them first. Just pull the card out of you cam, put it in your ax and open it with a picture viewer (the ax came with a good one, resco picture viewer.

hope this helps,

You can also upload pictures from your pc to your camera CF and then put the CF card into your Ax for viewing. Some find thid quicker than using the Axim cradle.
