Outlook's Business Contact Manager
Hello everyone!
Outlook has an add-in from MS, Business Contact Manager. It is located at Help / Bus... / Use Bus...with Mobile Device.
Anyone here tried it out?
For those like to know more, see here.
Thanks!

Stevaranio, there are a couple threads on this already. You have to have outlook 2003 and the Business Contact Add on. The problem, as I remember, was that it wouldn't sync w/the pda at that time. I don't know if they've updated it. This thread shows that you need a 3rd party add-on to sync it. I've tried 3rd party add-ons in the past w/out success and am not willing to risk ruining a workable system. If you want to try and report back I'm sure lots of people would be interested in your opinion.

rats wishful thinking on my part . From the first post in this thread I thought the implication was this might have been now corrected . No good to me if it doesn't sync hassle free.

Coolabah, I'm no expert, but that's the little I've learned from my research about Business Mgr. I have Outlook 2000 and it works just fine. I won't dare upgrade unless there is a major benefit. It's not worth the risk to lose all my data/customer info. There may be other info that's out there so don't take only my word for it.

Hello Steve!
Thanks for the heads-up. I am in the process of doing it and see if I can hack it out to get it right.
Get this: A system I am building for my business is tying up all the flow between pda, desktop, and database-driven website.
I promise to keep you and the rest on it.
However, can you tell me what kind of system you have that actually works?
Thanks again!

I don't have anything fancy, just Outlook 2000 and PI. But it's all set up the way I like it. After fighting w/Act! for a whole year I finally gave up and one month ago switched to the Outlook/PI combo. I am happy w/my simple system. It works and there's no way I'll switch, not even to Outlook 2003, unless I get a major benefit out of it.

Glad to hear you are using PI instead of AF or SPBPP, I've been looking into these PIM and found PI is the right pie for this combo.
Do not blame you for being cautious ~ getting rather tiresome of being part of the largest QA for these programming folks.
