Before I upgraded to WM5 I used to use 1-Pass from http://www.omegaone.com. You can do numbers or button presses or screen areas for your password.
Not compatible with WM5 though.

Well, you can give my program a try! It's called Pocket Secure!

Many of my users have changed over to Pocket Secure from the others due to it's many features and stability!

Some quick features:

* Run at Power-on
* Run after Reset
* Date / Time / Sys Info on main screen
* Current Screen Capture or Choose Any Pic for Background
* Skinable Buttons, Background, Color & Text
* ...and more

Current version is v2.0, and currently v3.0 is in beta testing which is due for release in about 1 week! v3.0 has many new features (as requested by users), that is sure to be liked by everyone! The new upgrade is "Free" to all current registered users...
:)

Pocket Secure works with 2003, 2003SE, WM5, and SmartPhone devices! Download a Free Trial, and check it out! :approve:

Customize Owner Information Screen (WM2003)

On WM2003 you can change the top graphic that is displayed on the Owner Information screen. You can find the file myinfo.gif in the Windows directory. Simply copy over a new version. Size of the image is 240x60. I created a new PNG graphic and renamed it to myinfo.gif, dropped into \Windows\ and soft-reset.

I use to use nice start, but it does not work very well with wm2003se. I have been using Pocket Secure for a couple of weeks. Its very stable, and works well (no issues). I recomend the you give their trial version a try.

Check out this http://www.wormholecreations.com.au/...sts=17&start=1

The issue with 1-pass is the same issue I had with nice start.

What problems did you have with Nice Start on 2003SE ? (I haven't had any problems with it)

Basiclly I had the same issue as http://www.wormholecreations.com.au/...sts=17&start=1

When I would do a soft reset, nice start would work. When I would turn off my x50v and turn it on, the default password would come up.

When I was having issues, Trancreative (makers of Nice Start) had a support forumn. I along with some other people (with we2003se devices) were asking for help.

From what I understand, Nice Start resides in a specific area of memory. If too many apps are running, the default password will only work, not Nice Start. http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showt...ght=nice+start

BTW - there is another theory the WA2 causes Nice Start not to work properly, although I still had problems with WA2 turned off...

For related reasons, I built Pocket Secure to be totally independant from the builtin OS password.

I was also having some conflicts with WA2, and had to write some additional code to get around the issues, and make both apps 'play nice'!

I now use WA2 & WAD, and many other programs, and I'm happy to say that there are "0" conflicts with any while using Pocket Secure! Even if they run in the background... :)
