Is there a way to get my pocket pc to automatically open xls files with planmaker instead of the default pocket excel prgram??

Should work. I think it is set during the installation of Planmaker though. You have the option to associate various file types with Planmaker. Check the softmaker forum at www.softmaker.com >support>forum.

You need to change the program associated with .xls files.

To do this, tap and hold on an .xls file, then tap on "Open" -> "open with" and highlight Planmaker. Tap in the box next to "Always use this program to open this file type.", and tap OK.

Should be good to go.
