ewallet/flexwallet further advice please

hi

im testing ewallet at the moment and it looks good, and having looked at the threads here, it seems that opinions are evenly split between the 2 applications

as at todays date are there are great deals/discounts for either of these which would tip the balance?

thanks

kim

The only thing that would tip the balance is your personal preference.

Test them both, and decide which you like better ... that's the best advice I can give. Both have good customer service (WebIS has a forum you can get help on which is nice), but otherwise both are great products.

Lean toward Flexwallet

I'm currently using EWallet which I've had with my first PDA, Handspring Visor. Was easy to move to PPC when I got the Axim x5.

Now that Alex and his team at WebIS bought Flexwallet, I took advantage of their current customer pricing and bought Flexwallet.

I feel the product will undergo the same enhancement cycles as their other products such as Pocket Informant. And the forums that they use to communicate with the user base is top notch.

Once they have an import function, I'll convert my EWallet data over. Right now I'm using the Flexwallet on new items I need to keep track of.

I agree w/Bud. Now that webis took over they have a forum and lots of help and support, not to mention great programming. Either way both products are great, as a consumer you can't lose.

Personal preference is probably tour best bet. eWallet has the better display interface, but FlexWallet is, well, more flexible in what it can do for you. AND now that WebIS has FlexWallet, you can bet that things will get even better.

My vote is FlexWallet, but whatever work best for you is where you should go.

I have both. The main advantage for me is that ewallet will sync at the card level, where flexwallet only syncs at the file level. If you modify or add cards on the desktop and later modify or add cards on the PPC, it will still sync the individual cards correctly with ewallet. However with flexwallet you will have to decide which file copy will be overwritten and lose data.

Discounts available for current WebIS customers or a competative upgrade.

They plan to have record level sync in the next rev, I think.
