I would like to know if there is a software (freewares too) that can turn my axim into a USB mass storage device so that I can read my CF card as a "Removable Disk" in my computer.
are you using WM5? ive heard from that just by changing some registry settings in some WM5 handhelds (not Dell), that they can turn it into a USB mass storage device.
as for the Dell X51V or a WM5-based X50V, i dont know; since i only have WM2003SE X50V, and a WM5 Willcom W-ZERO3 (Windows Mobile with a phone).

You can transfer files through ActiveSync or you can use Softick Card Export. The third choice would be to lug around a USB 2.0 card reader around with you. Those are your only choices.
A card reader would be the least invasive to anothers PC. The other items mentioned above require you to load software onto their system. If your dealing with a companys network you may not even have that option. I use a card reader myself. In additional to being universal the card reader would be alot faster that any other option. I have a card reader for both my CF micro disk and my Sd card. Of course all of the having been said is IMHO.
I've been looking for the same thing. I can not load software or make changes to the systems I need to get files from. Right now I have to use a jumpdrive then carry that to a PC I can modify.
Does anybody make a jumpdrive with a removable SD card?
1. CardExport does not require anything to be installed on the PC.
2. There are a couple of devices out there that fit both USB ports and SD ports. A search the Aximsite hardware should dig them up.

Yes I had one. Here is a reference web page for you. It worked for me.

Sorry for the miss information about CardExport. When I used it with the Palm OS prior to going to the PocketPC side it placed a file on the PC it was connecting with. Thanks for pointing this out to me.
