Is one, though if you are trying to connect to a windows xp machine you do not need VNC at all, just go to Programs -> Terminal Services Client and put in the IP address of the XP machine and it will do all the work for you, even resizing the screen... all you need it the IP address, username and password of an account on the machine, preferably one with administrator rights.

I wouldn't recommend any of the above-listed VNC applications because they seem to have a lot of compatibility issues. If incompatgibility with VNC isn't an issue (because you only want to access your PC from your Pocket PC and not, say, your Linux or Mac computers), z2 Remote2PC 1.1 (see http://www.z2software.com/ ) is by far the best remote controller application in my opinion – and it works through a simple ActiveSync connection! It's really good, I can only recommend it.
BTW, I'll publish a bigger review/roundup of all these questions really soon.
nope.. I worked for me on XP Home. but wasn't too impressed with it.

No matter what I tried I couldn't connect with z2 1.1. Kept getting the error "Connection error. Error 0*20000100: User authentication filed. Invalid user name or password". But I've tried with every kind of user account (supervisor, admin, user) without any luck. I'm guessing the server isn't running properly.
setup:
-XP home
-2003 SE
-Wi-Fi to connect

I just tried terminal services for the first time today.... VERY cool! Any way to get the speeds up a bit like by lowering the resolution? Or perhaps a VNC server would be quicker?

You must supply it a local username/password, unlike with TS.
