For just passwords and short phrases / lists, I like Nyx Password Storage

The website does not specifically comment on WM5 compatability and I have been afraid to upgrade myself. In the forum though some users report no problems (although one did not get it working on an Atom; unclear where the problem lies, though). Anyway, it's freeware, so you don't have much to lose by trying.

Pocket RAR is freeware and can compress as well as encrypt using AES 128-bit.
