Spb software and Wisbar
Good day all,
I recently purchase the SPBsoftware house package (Dairy, SPB Plus, SPB weather and SPB time) which I like.
However, I would like to make better use of the WM5 top bar (menu bar?) and bottom bar (button bar?). I also would like to have the cascade file manager layout (ya know what I mean).
Does anyone know if the Wisbar integrates well with the latest SPB software?
Thanks
Marc G

If you mean Cascading Start Menu, then the latest version of WBA2 shouldn't have any problems with the latest versions of Diary, Weather, and Time. Although, I should warn you that WBA2 doesn't do anything with the 'soft keys' in WM5, besides reskin them. To change their functions, you'll need something like Tweaks2K to change what they do on the Today screen.
However, if you're using Pocket+, then the task manager and close-button functionality of WBA2 is duplicated in there.. and personally, I don't like Pocket+ all that much. If you're going to run both, you'll need to either disable the 'close' functionality in WA2 or else disable the close functionality in Pocket+. MAybe you could try running Wisbar Lite... but that'd get rid of the task manager on the top bar that WBA2 offers... and use a cascading Task window just like Pocket+.
Honestly, I wouldn't run BOTH of them at the same time - Pocket+ and Wisbar, that is.

Do you mean there is a way in Pocket + to have the cascading folders?

No, the Running Tasks window that Pocket+ offers, IIRC, shows tasks as a panel, the way Wisbar Lite does. If you want the Cascading Folders, try Wisbar Lite if you don't want to lose an extra 500K or so for the skinning engine. As I said, I honestly don't see why you'd use Pocket+ with WBA, except for the multi-tab and meter support... which can be supplied by other programs.

I run wisbar adv and pocket plus both and have for the last couple of years. I don't have any problem with conflicts and they run fine. I do disable the close program function in pocket plus as that is really the only overlap. I like the way wisbar implements it better. That still gives me the skins and cascading menu from wisbar and the menus, meters, extended themes, PIE and File Mgr. enhancements, safe mode, alt-tab switching, on and on........

What other programs are you running on your today screen?
