Editing Registry Help

Hi, newbie here. I tried to import this line into my registry using a registry editor without success thus far. Is there a way I can enter in the values manually?

6666=dword:0

How can I do that? Thanks very much.

You need to know what program it is associated with, and where is should be placed in the registry. There are four main sections, but editing is not for the faint of heart. Back up your ppc prior to doing anything because a bad registry and render the ppc useless, without a hard reset.

There may be several reasons for this; for example, an incompatible registry file format (which does plague PPC registry editors). Please make sure you read the import-related remarks in The Ultimate Roundup of Registry Editors for the Pocket PC so that you'll know what the exact problem is.

hi thanks for the replies so far. I used Tascal Registry Editor (TRE) 0.90p to try to import the file without success. It loads without problems, but when I go to the directory and file folder that it is supposed to be in, it is empty.

I know you can manually add a new line "dword" but I don't know what this stands for "6666=dword:0", and what I should input for the "value" lines.
