I have an x51v w/ WM5 and A01. I use Magic Button as a resource that I find very helpful... until I try to connect with WiFi. It seems that every time that I connect with Magic Button active, my Ax locks up. I can't use the Magic Button "home" icon on the top or move through the WLAN Utility. I have to go to the Windows Start menu, go to "Today" where I have Pocket Breeze 5 running and get out from there. Is there anyone else running into this issue? Any suggestions? Thanks for the time.

Branden,
Any other suggestions rather than Magic Button? I am hoping that iLauncher or PocketBreeze will jump on board with the real close button idea soon.

I have a x50v with WM5. The issue with Magicbutton and the wifi config app is that for some reason, the app does not register any clicks to the corner X/OK if magic button is running, and thus you can't leave the application. The only workaround I've found is to either close magicbutton (through magicbutton's popup menu) and then click the X or to map a hardware button to OK/X and use that when using the wifi app.
It's a little annoying but at least you know that your device has not locked up.

No. I really liked Magic Button. Nice and simple, did the job. But it had too many annoying problems so I stopped.
It doesn't blend with the gray bars, it uses the older style OK and X instead of the new WM5 (that wasn't that big of a deal, but something), and had problems with some windows and apps such as Dell WLAN.
I now just put Exit on programs I write and soft reset every once in a while to clean out everything else.
I use magic button and used to have the problem. I worked around it by opening up a keyboard and closing from the keyboard. Using the std keyboard hitting return does the trick. Using the newest versions of Magic button, Pocketbreeze, iLauncher with wm2003se, I no longer have the problem.
If I do get to a situation where it appears magicbutton is frozen, pulling up a keyboard usually helps.
With MagicButton and the WLAN utility, the close button indeed does not work in some subwindows of WLAN. But if you tap at the very extreme right upper corner (outside of the X) it will close the WLAN utility.

I can confirm that this does work as well. Anyone notice that magic button seems to close two windows in a row in this specific scenario with the wifi applet?
I found I have this problem when going clicking on the settings button in the WLAN utility. Once there, the top row of the screen becomes totally disabled (except, for some reason, the start menu still works), and I am unable to close the WLAN utility, even in the running applications section of the Memory applet in settings.
I was about ready to reluctantly give up MB, until after playing around with it I found the following workaround that is relatively painless:
MB has a feature that lets you tap and hold the OK button in the top right corner. When you do this, it stays running but switches back into what I can only call "default Windows" mode until you tap and hold again. When in "default Windows" mode, the WLAN utility will not lock up, even though MB is technically still running. Then when back to my Today screen, I can tap and hold again and go about my business. The lockup seems to have something to do with MB being in "desktop" mode.
It sounds much more complicated than it really is. It really just amounts to an extra tap of the stylus.
Hope this helps. It was enough to keep me from abandoning Magic Button.

I've had the same issue, and yes, most of the time, MB will close not only the active program, but one next to it all (so now I have it set back to minimize - but I prefer the close). Anyone else have this issue or a solution?
