Hello, I just bought another X30 on e-bay, said it came with a bunch of software, it actually came pre-installed, no CD's, no serial #'s, etc. I managed to get the serial & user name out of Pocket Breeze, but can't seem to find the serial # in Pocket plus. Anyone know where the program stores registration info?

Unless you have arranged for transfer of the software licences, you aren't entititled to use them. If the licences have been transferred you can get the reg codes from the developer.

Either way this is not something to be discussed on Aximsite.

Don't Panic!

He's right Davez. If your dealer had transfed ownership of the programs to you on the sale that would be copacetic, but just trying to crack software with advice from us is just wrong.

He has sold his PDA because he did not feel he had a need for one, and along with the PDA, he sold me all the software on it. (Therefore, entering into an agreement to transfer the liscences) After the auction closed, and I was the winner, I couldn't even get him to e-mail me tracking info, or respond to e-mails at all. So, I when I got the PDA, & the software came pre-installed, I sent an e-mail asking for the CD's, reg keys, etc, and plan on getting them transferred If I get them, however, I don't expect to ever hear from him, so I was trying to find that info myself, so I could hard reset, & get this software back. (5 titles I paid for, but will not have after a reset!)

I need to hard reset because he was a student, & had every clas he attended in his schedule, a database full of contacts, etc, (he did not wipe before shipping) and just because I want to start with a clean slate.

SO, I thought this was the place to discuss this, if for no other reason, than to make people aware of one other question to ask when buying a used PDA, is the software listed as for sale with it going to be useable for you?

The issue is that there will be people who do not have a legitimate paid-for copy of the software and will use any tips etc. listed here to crack bootleg versions.

In this case, I'd have to suggest lodging a complaint via eBay, since if he transferred the software to you, he should've transferred the registration codes as well. If his contacts list is in there... hmm.. no, I won't suggest trying to get in touch with them.
