Worried Wisbar and annoying "clicks"

Hi,

I just installed Wisbar on my new X51v and afterwards I realized some quite annoying bleeping when for example clicking on the start menu. I also installed some more programs and I'm not absolutely sure that Wisbar is responsible for that, but it's the most likely reason for it. I searched all over the menus to find a way to disable that sounds without muting the whole device, but I couldn't find it. Anyone has an idea how to shut those sounds off?

greets

You can get rid of screen tap sounds by going into Start - Settings - Personal tab - Sounds & Notifications. Uncheck "Screen taps".

BTW, welcome to Aximsite!

Thx, but unfortunatly that doesn't work. screen tabs is already unselected, and if I select it, than I can choose a lower beep, but switching it off does not work.

Did you try a soft reset after deselecting it?

Not, but I just realized that they are two different beeps, so the one you're suggesting was off, but that must be some sound from Wisbar itself. Hm, maybe the Theme provided with Wisbar?

Some themes have a sound theme provided with it. If you don't want the theme to override the system sounds, go to Wisbar Advanced 2 Settings > Theme Overrides and uncheck 'Use the sounds provided by the theme'.

Hope this helps you out :).

That's probably the problem - you can disable notifications and the like... but if the theme writer provided sounds for the theme, it'll keep using them. Just turn off that override and you'll be golden.

Hm ... no, i got that sound always, including the standard theme. I think I'll go through all programs one more time.
