I run a few excellent ones under the Palm Reader Pro under the StyleTap emulator.

I had a hard time finding a truly useful free dictionary. I eventually bought Trancreative WordBook talking dictionary after reading good reviews. Yes, it costs $20, but it's very easy to use and even pronounces the word--great for Scrabble.

I use PocketDict; it's free, is very easy to use, and uses up almost no memory. Plus there's several different dictionaries you can use.

but the site for PocketDict says:

Currently PocketDict only supports the ARM processor on the Pocket PC platform.
What does that mean?

Arm is the name of the family of processors used in most pocket
pcs, including all of the axims.

so it should work for you
