The writepad included with v8 initially made all the difference. I could see my errors and correct them and had more control over the program. I was happy, plunked down my cc and bought the program. Over time I found that while I might be getting 80%+ accuracy, that 10%-20% inaccuracy was a pain in the butt. When I'm using letter recognizer and make a mistake, I only need to correct a letter. When using Calligrapher, the same mistake often ends up with me clearing the line a few times and then resorting to the keyboard. I'm in numbers mode when I need letters and vice verse and the result is that it takes me longer to enter text than the plain old basic letter recognizer. I've waited patiently for the recognition to improve over time, but it doesn't. It works great if I'm writing a long form note or pocket word document, but this is something I seldom do. It can be very frustrating for filling in name, address and number fields, which make the bulk of my PDA input. I now find myself back with letter recognizer 80%-90% of the time. I 'm definitely suffering buyers remorse with this one.

That is exactly my problem. Like you said, a lot of time, I will be entering text and number on the same line(such as UPS tracking number...invoice number and stuff) and Calligrapher doesn't do a good job on that. I don't like to use letter recongnition either since it is not as accurate as I want it to be...plus my screen protector has 3 really scratched spots :). So, I finally bought Tengo 2.0. It takes sometime to get used to it. But it is much faster to type than to write. Download the trial version and try it out to see if you like it or not.
