Question Switching from full screen app?

Is there a switcher program or other utility that lets you switch from a full screen application to any another application?

I've tried the built in switcher bar and also Handy Switcher. Even when I assign a button to the switcher, it won't come up over the full screen app.

Has anyone found something that does this?

Thanks.

What are you switching from and to? Actually, that's a very good question, and my guess is that you can't do it. It seems the couple full screen apps I have must fully exit before I can use other apps. I hope I'm wrong and you can find an answer from someone else.
Purrrrrrrrrrr.

I had noticed while playing some full screen games, that there was not always an option to save the game where I was and close it to do something else - check calendar, write notes, anything really - and go back and resume my game later. Some have a pause option, but if you exit the game you still lose your place.

I thought the next best thing would be to find a switcher of some sort that would do the job.

The problem is even if there is a switcher that'll do what you want, how do you actually activate the switcher? Full screen applications usually assign different functions to the hardware keys so you can't use them either.

Well, I haven't got it all worked out. ;)

Maybe if you could have an option to have the switcher reassign one of the buttons to itself regardless of what other apps are open?
Check it if you want the switcher to have control, don't check it if you want your apps to have the button control?

I play mostly puzzle type games where you don't even need to use the buttons to play the game. Some games don't even have a process assigned to all of the buttons.

Obviously I'm not a programmer so I don't even know if this is possible but I'm hoping it is.
