I have tried to Sync a Word Document to My Axim, but everytime I try to sync this document the format gets destroyed. Can anyone tell me what the problem may be?
Any Help is very much appreciated.

What is it you are trying to do? Remember that Pocket Word strips out most of the formatting from word documents such as bullets and tables. It will keep bold, underlined and some fonts however.

The simplest way to put a word document is to drag the word document file (in file explorer) on to the Folder on your desktop which would be generated when you connected your Axim.

If the name of your Axim is My_Axim then a folder will be created saying My_Axim Documents. This folder contains the documents (word, excel, notes etc.) that currently reside in your Axim.

Drag and drop the word document on to this folder and it will be sent to your axim.

Hope this helps. :)

I have heard that Pocket Word does not allow tables. But the Document I have tried to Sync is a Form that is a Protected Document on my Desktop.
When I sync this document, the blocks and bold borders are taken away. If Pocket Word will not allow the original format, and If I were to work with only what it allows, when I sync My Axim back with my Desktop, will all of my new information go in the correct blocks?

Probably not. The formatting lost in going to the Axim is lost, so putting the document back can't restore that formatting. Sorry. There is a product from Germany from Softmaker that supposedly supports full Word functions. You might see if there is a demo version you can test with.

Definitely try out Textmaker, per Jake's link. It's an awesome app -- about the closest we'll get to having full-blown MS Word on PocketPC. It's pricey but worth it, IMO, for the feature set and compatibility it provides. It seems to be well-supported by the authors (I tested beta versions on a Casio BE-300 -- the mere fact that it worked on that resource-limited device said a lot, and they came out with several revisions before releasing the final product).

My $0.02

If you are just storing the file on your Ax, and not worried about manipulating it a lot you can turn off the file conversion setting when you copy the file to your Ax.

I had to do that for a file that had embedded graphics from another program that the conversion wizard could not handle. It does handle Excel graphs fine, but not all other programs that can generate graphs. (Such as sigma plot)

Is everyone sure that after the conversion process with a regular document that table formatting is completely lost? I have moved files from work to home computer via the converted pocket word doc and seem to have my tables just fine. Although I did not try to change any of them when the file was on the Ax.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Softmaker's "Textmaker" is exactly what I needed. It works great.
Thanks for the advice.
